We were pleasantly surprised by the location, views and amenities of this condo unit. We've stayed in Destin and on Okaloosa several times before. This location has been the best by far, due to the close proximity to restaurants, shops, and adventure stuff for the kids. All are walking distance, so you can basically just park and walk to the fun! We ate at Rockin Taco (new this year) and food was great. Fudpuckers was fun for the drinks, food not as much. **** Trap on Okaloosa is not as good as the Crab Trap in Destin. The walking bridge between the Gulf Side and the Bay Side of Destin West was an incredible bonus, as we had 2 teens that liked to venture and explore nearby on both sides of the highway. It was fun watching folks fish on the bay side. Having access to the Ramada amenities was also a bonus, as the Grotto Pool Bar and Beach Bar were nice to have access to. If we had smaller children, they would have enjoyed the splash pool areas, as well. Pools and surrounding areas were cleaned very well daily. Beach was very nice, ocean was perfect (June grass had not arrived yet) and room was spacious for the 4 of us... would've fit 6 easily, if using the pull-out sofa. Would recommend a full length mirror in master or bathroom. Nicely decorated and modern unit. Dishwasher could use updating, but other appliances were good. Overall, we'd definitely be back and have already recommended this unit to other friends who may visit the area. Will be back for sure. Enjoyed our relaxing week there!! Thanks!!

Our family was highly satisfied with our recent stay at Destin West Gulfside 407! The unit has been well maintained with modern upgrades that make it beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. One simple feature that set this unit apart from others was the privacy curtain for the bunkroom! Our two children loved the bunks and we loved that we could pull the curtain for privacy and darkness for sleeping. The appliances and linens provided were sufficient and in working order. The kitchen cooking utensils/supplies could use a bit of an upgrade as there were several items that were worn out and there was not a full set of measuring cups and that is usually found in other rentals. We spent a lot of time at the gulfside pool and it was spectacular! Very impressed with the maintenance crew that cleaned the pool and all the chairs/surfaces daily! The boardwalk to the beach was short, the beach area for the resort was beautiful, and chair rentals were easily accessible. A great "perk" for the price of the weekly rental would be to include the chair/umbrella service for atleast 2-3 days of stay, especially if paying peak season pricing. There were several attractions (Boardwalk, Fudpuckers, Anglers, pier, Gulfarium, arcade/mini-golf)that were convenient to walk to which was helpful given that the traffic was terrible! Lastly, Russ was very timely and helpful in responding to my lengthy emails of questions which provided peace of mind before our arrival! Overall, the resort, unit, and location were fantastic! We will most certainly return!

We have stayed at several different condos along Destin and Okaloosa Island area over the last 15 years. Destin West Beach and Bay Resort is one of the best resorts in the area. The gulf side 1 bedroom units are perfect for a family of four. Our children are 10 and 12. They enjoyed all of the pools and the lazy river. The bay side is a short walk away and we saw many people making the walk across to the beach with younger kids. We visited before Memorial Day and it wasn't crowded at all! We saw dolphins swim by every day and would watch them play from our balcony while eating dinner late afternoons. Overall, one of the best places to stay in the area and we will be back next year!
